The HydroCush Ripster board takes "maximizing fun" to a whole new level! Don't call it a soft top - these boards are so much more. The HydroCush line combines a hard bottom including all of the high-performance features that Stewart shapes are known for with a user-friendly EVA foam deck. The result is a board that is more durable than a glassed board, safer than a hard board, and rides way better than a foamie. What's more fun than that?
Every Stewart HydroCush board is built to last and made to advance your surfing while putting a smile on your face!
A shaped EPS blank makes up the core of the Stewart HydroCush boards, hand-finished with precision and the highest attention to detail. Perfectly blended concaves and flawlessly foiled rails make these boards faster, looser, and more responsive than you ever thought a soft top could be. A real wood stringer from tip to tail provides the ideal flex and a wood veneer wrap maxes out strength and durability. Custom EVA on the deck gives it a surprisingly soft yet grippy feel. HydroCush is your magic carpet to fun — no need for messy wax. This unique construction will make your turns feel solid and stable, while the time-tested, tried and true Stewart shapes ensure responsiveness and unparalleled performance.
The best of both worlds, the HydroCush Ripster combines classic styling with modern technical design features, making it the ideal performance single fin!
A deep, long blended concave in the nose makes this board paddle with maximum glide to catch every wave. It also creates trim speed and lift down the line, beating sections like you won't believe! The rails are down hard in the tail, then soften as they go forward, making the Ripster turn incredibly well while also being forgiving. The hard edges on the tail release water, giving it ripping speed, and the foil holds it in the pocket. The heavy V in the tail runs up to the middle of the board, where it's perfectly transitioned into the nose concave. This makes rail to rail surfing easier, and beautiful back-to-back roundhouse turns effortless. Finished off with a clean - simple raked 9" single fin, for that classic look and optimal performance for this model.

We all need a bit of help once in a while! Some more than others…
So here is a little guideline to some questions you might have.
Why should I buy from your Store?
You are buying from a real CANADIAN Surf Shop. We ship directly from our Shop and don’t use any middle-man 3rd party drop shipping.
We are located on Vancouver Island and have been here since 1998. Drop by anytime to see us, we are open 7 days a week 8:30-5.
All purchases to the USA or anywhere else in the World are final.
How do I place an order?
I think most of us have been through this process before, it’s pretty simple –
Browse though our Website until you see something you need or want (or both)
Select the “Add to Cart” button and then “Continue Shopping”
You can “View Cart” at anytime and make sure you have the correct products and quantity added.
Once you are ready to “Checkout” please fill in all your details, this way if we need to contact you we can get hold of you.
Shipping
We use Shopify Shipping which, due to their size, provides the best rates.
We’ll try to use recycled boxes and materials whenever we can, so don’t be surprised when your T-Shirt, Wax and Ding repair kit arrives in a recycled bootie box.
We are not responsible for "Porch Pirates" or items that have been lost after being picked up by a shipping company. That being said, we will do our best to find out what happened to your package and advocate on your behalf.
Purchasing a Surfboard or Stand up Paddleboard (SUP)
Boards are pretty fragile and SUPs are big, so to ship these across the county can be costly.
We don’t typically ship boards, you may however purchase a board now, but it will be for pick-up only at our store on Vancouver Island. If you wish to have someone pick the board up on your behalf, we will gladly pack it very securely for an additional $40.00 packaging fee. The board will leave here in new condition and we will not take any responsibility for any damage. After purchasing a board, please call us Toll Free at 1(855)594-5452 during business hours to confirm pick up details.
What if you have to return something…
Shipping in Canada is expensive so please make sure that you have picked out the right product and size before you confirm your order.
We are just a small independent “Mom and Pop” store, not COSTCO, so if the fault is ours we will cover all the shipping costs, however, if the fault is yours, you will have to mail the item back to us at your cost or come to the store and exchange it.
