How It All Started
Island Surf Co. (formerly Island Longboards) was founded in downtown Qualicum Beach in 1998. In 2001, the shop relocated to a prime spot on Highway 4 — the only highway leading to the West Coast of Vancouver Island — making it easily accessible to surfers from all over.
Since then, Island Surf Co. has grown into a cornerstone of the Canadian surf scene. The shop features a renowned boardroom showcasing an impressive lineup of world-class brands, including Bing, Stewart, Dewey Weber, G&S, Walden, Hobie, and Harbour, among others.
Today, Island Surf Co. proudly offers the largest selection of longboards in Canada, cementing its reputation as a go-to destination for surfers nationwide.
